Busted!!!

Cory and I went upstairs, Friday night, to find Ethan upset about his crib. Ethan somehow had busted his crib apart! I know, crazy! It's fixable, but we couldn't fix it right then. So Cory headed for the garage... to bring in the toddler bed. Cory has been antsy to get Ethan into the toddler bed and then move Adam into the bigger crib. I wasn't ready to deal with our toddler getting up a million times in one night, and what about nap times? Forget about it! Well I guess we were forced to put Ethan in the toddler bed. Ethan was very excited. We swapped his mattress into the the toddler bed and placed his pillow, puppy, and blanket onto his new bed. He climbed right in, with a smile on his face. We said goodnight and headed back downstairs, smiling and giggling at our little boy growing up so fast. A little while later we heard noises from upstairs. We snuck back upstairs to spy on him. Of course he was up, sitting on the trunk next to Jonathan's bed, and about to spray Jonathan, who was asleep already, with a spray bottle full of water! We helped him get back into bed and told him to go night-night. Eventually he fell asleep, around midnight. He's gonna be real tired tomorrow. Here are a few pictures from the event. First a picture taken a couple days ago of Ethan, in case you are wondering, he is wearing one of my t-shirts. The next one is a picture of the broken crib. And finally, one of Ethan snoozing in his big boy bed!

Memorial Day Weekend

So we had Jimmy spend the night on Saturday, and watched some more Battlestar Galactica. Grandma, Grandpa and Butters came over on Sunday afternoon. Cory barbequed up some chicken, while I made a salad, using some spinach from my garden.

After dinner we had a delicious Flag cake, with fresh strawberries and blueberries.

Then we decided to burn those calories with a little Wii Fit! I didn't snap any pictures of Jimmy trying it, but he did break some of our top records. Cory's mom tried, hula-hoop and soccer. Megan and Cory are trying out the ski jump. I think Grandpa was too tired to hula-hoop.

Fun in the Sun!

Cory bought this fun wading pool for the kids. It's cool cause it has a small slide in the middle of the pool and little toys the kids can play with and also the palm tree can be hooked up to a hose and it will spray water from the top. Here are a few pictures of the kids "swimming".

Adam hates taking baths and tries to cling to me like a monkey. But somehow I got him to go into the pool and even sit down! He was relaxed and calm as long as I was right next to him. He actually enjoyed it!

Father-Son Camp-out

Cory took Jonathan to the Father-Son Camp-out this past Friday/Saturday.
Jonathan of course had a blast. They had a campfire and Jonny got to roast marshmallows for Smore's. Jonathan loved the Smore's so much he told Cory, "We gotta tell Mom and Meg about this!!" This picture is Jonathan eating his wonderful breakfast of pancakes and eggs.

Jonathan and Cory go on a hike down to the lake.

Jonathan trying sneak up on a bug he hears making noises. They found these bones along the way, maybe fish? They saw a vulture high up in an old dead-looking tree.

They found the lake! But too steep to swim. Two thumbs-up for hiking, especially when you got a Dad who will carry you the rest of the way back if you get too tired! And then resting on the way back home.

Goof-balls!

This past week or two, the kids have been awfully goofy!
Here I turned around and found these kitten ears on Adam. He was just sitting there and didn't even realize he had them on.

Here is a photo of Adam with a small green pea stuck on the end of his nose! Yum!
Then this one I decided to put Jonny's wolverine mask on Adam. He didn't like it much and had a hard time trying to see through the little holes.
Cory made the kids a snack on Saturday while I was out grocery shopping. He made chocolate pudding and gave the kids bananas to dip into it. Ethan of course was really messy by the time he finished his snack.

And lastly a picture of all 4 children gathered around to play Mario Party! They love to play this game and even Ethan will grab the nearest controller so that he can get in on the action. No controller for Adam, he loves to slobber into all the buttons!

What fun!!

The kids decided to dig out their bike helmets and ride bikes, even though it was late. Ethan was so excited to have a helmet too, he doesn't know that it's Megan's old one. Cory finally replaced Megan's bike seat with one that I bought on E-bay. They are all super happy!

I caught all the kids trying to brush their teeth at the same time, including little Adam. He kept pulling on their clothes to stand himself up. He just wanted in on the fun!

Cory played many games with Megan and Jonathan on Saturday. First he played a round of checkers with Megan and he won. Then he played a Silly Face game with both Megs and Jonny. Then Megan asked for a re-match of checkers. Of course Megan whooped his butt good!! Then they decided to play Monopoly Junior. They had a lot of fun playing this game. Jonny even learned some math while playing. Ultimately Megan won, with Jonny winning second place and their Daddy in dead last!! All in all, good times had by all!

Baby you're so vain...

Adam loves seeing himself on my computer screen. He squeals with delight every time he sees his cute little face. When I showed a picture of his baby cousin, he actually got a little scared and was winding up to cry! So I quickly changed it back to a picture of him and once again he was a happy little boy!
