Fight Club!

I've noticed that Adam gets very frustrated with Ethan lately. Here, Ethan doesn't want to share with Adam and he gets mad and tries to bite Ethan, but fails. Little baby's not so little anymore!



And now for something completely different...
Ethan saw me cleaning the hair out from the spinning thingy on the vacuum and said "Eww, Pooh Pooh!" I told him that it was not pooh pooh, but that it was hair. Megan's hair is so long that it just wraps around the spinner dealy. He mostly kept saying ewww, pooh pooh. He eventually was brave enough to try and help pull it off. Sorry if this grosses anyone out, but it was hilarious that he kept calling it pooh pooh!

Clock+Knock=Doc

Yesterday Megan got knocked by her clock and we had to take her to see the Doc! The story is that she was laying on the floor and Jonathan, who had climbed up on the low window seal, accidentally knocked down Megan's princess clock off of the wall. There then was a lot of crying and screaming and Jonny running around yelling for me. Jonny ran into his room crying, he didn't want to get in trouble, and Megan came out of her room covered in blood!! The blood was all over her forehead with some in her hair and on her ear. The blood had already ran all the way down her chest and to her waistline! I have to admit I was a little panicky at first but I calmed down as I wiped away some of the blood and realized it was a small gash in her forehead. It wasn't long, but a little wide and I couldn't tell how deep it was. So about 2 hours after it all happened we went in and a Nurse looked at her and determined that she wouldn't need any stitches. The nurse gently pushed the gash closed with her fingers and put on that special glue that is like a band aid and will hold it closed. It was just so crazy that her little cut could produce so much blood! We are happy that she is just fine.

In other news... I found a praying mantis in my garden this morning! It was crawling on the wall, I think it was trying to escape from me watering my garden plants. This mantis seems like it is a baby one since it is only about 1 1/4 inches long. I captured it so that I could show the kids. They thought it was cool and wanted to help me catch some small ants to feed to the praying mantis.

OUR HERO

Our hero is Jimmy! Last night he drove all the way out to Tracy, just to babysit our kids while we went to the Temple. It was our Ward Temple night and we carpooled with some friends. But to make it to the Temple for the 6:30 session we had to leave Tracy at 4:30. We then swung by Pleasanton to pick up Cory and another friend who worked in the building next to him. So we asked Jimmy to arrive at our house around 3:30. After the Temple we went over to our Bishop's house for snacks, so we didn't get home till 11pm.

Jimmy watched all 4 kids from 4:30 until 9pm, when they went to bed for the night. This was the first time Jim had all 4 of them! It was also his first time changing baby diapers!! He had to change Ethan and Adam before they went to bed. Unfortunately Ethan had a small poopy, but Jimmy handled that challenge just fine. Yet it was Adam who turned out to be the most wiggly baby alive, making it real challenging for Jim. Luckily Megan was there to help try and hold Adam down for the changing. We are so very thankful for Jim and his courage to take on our crazy bunch of monkey-children! Here is Jim this morning, after such an adventure...Guess they wore him out good!

The last 5 Days!

So I have a few days to post on here. Starting with Saturday... We got our new couches and dining room table!!! They are nice and comfortable. We went with reclining couches, now we can watch movies in style! And next time Grandpa comes over it won't be awkward falling asleep on our couch!


















Next, Sunday... Happy Father's day Cory and Grandpa. The kids and I made Cory flowers, the stems being made out of beef jerky! Cory had a great idea for Grandpa's gift. He had the kids think of something funny about Grandpa and then they were supposed to draw a picture about it. Megan said "He tries to make us say words that we don't understand" and then she drew a picture of her saying 'huh' and grandpa saying 'pusillanimous'. Jonny said that Grandpa is always singing "Happy trails to you..." to him. So Jonny drew a picture of Grandpa singing to him. I drew a picture of Cory and I in our graduation outfits and Grandpa coming in and saying"I had 12 pieces of bacon for breakfast today!" Cory drew Grandpa standing in front of the TV watching a football game and yelling at the TV "Aw come on Ref' — eject him!" They all turned out really awesome! We had some awesome dessert that Grandma made Megan and Jonny sing to get some.


Then there was Monday... oh wait, nothing for Monday. Except this cute picture of Adam.
And Yesterday I finally finished Adam's baby blanket. I was supposed to finish it when he was just a little thing and now he is almost one year old! Thankfully I can say I finished it before he turned one! It matches the bedding I made for his little crib, but soon we are going to be putting him in the big crib (the one Ethan broke) and all his bedding won't fit that one, oh well at least he'll have his blanket.

Finally, Today... Cory actually rode the train to work today! Well he skateboarded to the train station, rode the train and then he took a shuttle to the Bart station in Pleasanton and then he skateboarded the rest of the way to work. Unfortunately the streets are not as smooth there as they are in our neighborhood (where Cory practices his moves!) and he took a tumble and hurt his hand!

New School!

Today we visited the new school that we are signing Jonathan and Megan up for. It is located here in Tracy. This charter school allows me to continue to homeschool my children, but they provide the curriculum for free. In addition the kids can take on-campus classes, such as: cooking, crafts, music, drama, computers, science,art and more! The kids are super excited to take a few of these classes. It means that they would be out of the house for about 2 hours(1 hour per class) every day for 4 weeks at a time. Then after a 2 week break from those classes, they then can sign up for more classes to take for the next 4 week block. I am so excited to get the help with the curriculum and that it is free and also that the kids have a chance to do some socializing! Below is a picture of Megan and Jonathan's new school...

Park Day

Our ward has a schedule of park days and other activities for the summer, every Tuesday. Today was at a park with open grassy areas, perfect for water balloon fights and squirt gun wars! We had a picnic and enjoyed getting out of the house. Luckily it was not a very hot day today, the "Tracy" wind was a blowin'. Megan was sad after the water balloon fight was over. She said she was upset because it didn't last very long. Here are a few pictures of our fun outing from today.

The Big Reveal

On Saturday I decided to paint Megan's room. She and I went down to the hardware store and picked out the perfect shade of pink and some painting supplies. Of course Megan wanted to help, but I decided it was best if only I painted her room. Well it took all that day and some touching up. Cory and I took the tape off on Sunday afternoon and afterwards I put her room back together. Some day I will make curtains for her windows. But here is a video of Megan's reveal...
