The Crib Party!

So last night we switched Adam into the bigger crib. He was actually getting a little big for the junior crib. Cory finally had fixed Ethan's old crib. For some reason the boys are all obsessed with Cory's phone. Maybe it's the cool music and videos, or maybe it's the cheesy race car game he's got on it. Cory gave Adam his phone and turned on the music. Adam liked dancing in his new crib, it is so much springier than his little one. Again the video(Adam dancing) is not loading, so if it ever does I'll post a new one.

Old crib..............................Going into the new crib

Snails for dinner?

Last night I made tuna tarragon. Jonathan was complaining that he was so starving but when he saw what we were eating, he refused to eat. Apparently sea shell pasta looks too much like snails because he kept insisting that it was snails and that he was not going to eat it. We tried telling him that it was just pasta, tuna and mayonnaise, he still wouldn't believe us. Cory then tried retelling the story "Green Eggs and Ham" to try and get Jonny to just try the pasta. Jonny would not, could not eat them Here or There, he would not eat them anywhere. Jonny would not eat them in a box, he would not eat them with a fox... until we told him that it was the same pasta that Daddy likes from Sweet Tomatoes! "Oh, why didn't you just tell me?" Goodness me, if I had only known to tell him that it was the same as Sweet Tomatoes, I could have saved so much time and frustration! Silly me! I don't think I've ever seen Jonny gobble anything down like he did with his tuna tarragon last night!

Swimmin' around

Today we went swimming. This included Ethan and Adam. Adam's first time was actually yesterday. I guess I didn't take him swimming last summer because he was such a brand new baby. Well he loves it but was scared at first because Ethan was screaming his head off. I put Ethan in the water with wings on and let go. Maybe he screamed cause he couldn't keep his feet under him or that the water was a little cold, he was cool after I got in and held onto him. Adam calmed down as soon as Ethan did. Ethan loved having Cory swim with us today. He kept trying to get Cory to throw him into the air. Megan and Jonny loved jumping off of the ladder. Having a pool sure makes it easier to spend time outdoors on such hot days!

Train Spotting!

Yesterday we had to go pick Cory up from the train station. We decided to go a little early so we could see the train come in. I knew Ethan would love to see the train and they all wanted to see him get off of the train. I wanted to put up a video of the train pulling up to the station, but blogger is being stupid and it won't load up. Anyway, Ethan was excited at first, but then as the train was pulling in, he got really scared and started crying. I think it was just too loud for him, Adam didn't mind it though. They were real excited to see Cory step off the train right in front of them!

Weekend Fun!

So we went to Cory's parents house this weekend. On Saturday we all traveled to the beach in Santa Cruz. We had a blast and stayed for many hours.

On Sunday we celebrated Grandpa's birthday. The kids spent all day on homemade gifts! Megan made a spy scope and pictures in a frame, and Jonny made some pictures with some chocolate candies taped to them. Later we played a few rounds of Win Lose or Draw, or I like to call it good old Pictionary. Megan and Jonathan also played but took really long turns when drawing.

Megan was "Toot your own horn"

Jonathan was just "lightening" but of course we guessed it way too easy. He didn't tell us we guessed it right and just kept on drawing and this is what he came up with!

Cory's was another that took a long time to guess. Who would've guessed this was "Can't see hide nor hair"?

The Refried-Beans Bomb!

So yesterday I was sitting on the couch, when I heard a bunch of giggling coming from the kitchen. Too much giggling can be a dangerous thing when it comes to kids, as was the case. To my horror, there was refried beans all over the place. The culprit? ETHAN!!! It looked as if a bomb had gone off in the kitchen, either that or there was just a large pack of monkeys in there flinging, what they thought was, pooh around. Not only was Ethan covered in the mess but it was on the walls, the blinds, the windows, the table, chairs and the floor! Ugh what a mess! A few pictures of the aftermath...

Lesson learned... Don't leave food out for the wild animals! Not even for a second!

Here is a picture after bathing Ethan. He discovered he had these little bumps on his chest. He pinched one and yelped in pain! He was probably wondering what the heck those things are for.

Maiya and Papa

Hooray!!
Maiya and Papa came to visit us on Friday August 1st. They got to see the kids, who they hadn't seen in about a year. They also got to see our new house. This was a wonderful time had by all!

Pictures of the kids greeting Maiya and Papa in the driveway. They hardly had time to get out of the car before they were attacked by Megan and Jonathan.

We ate at Rubio's for dinner, one of our
favorite places!

The next morning Megan and Jonathan tried waking Papa up by tickling him, guess they forgot that Papa is not ticklish. When I was a kid, I could never believe that he was completely not ticklish. How could this be so?

Then on Saturday, after lunch at Burger King, we tried going to that water park thingy that the kids and I went to earlier in the week, but our luck, the water was not running that day! BOOO!

But we still hung out. We then decided to set up our above ground pool in our backyard. Meanwhile, Adam went down for a much needed nap.

Sunday morning started off with a small game of hide and seek with Papa. The kids took forever trying to locate Papa, who was hiding in the shower.

Then we went outside and Ethan played Puppy with Papa and soon all the other kids wanted to play too! Well Adam was more interested in what Maiya was doing.

We had a hard time saying g
ood bye to Maiya and Papa. Wish they could stay longer. I guess next time we will have to go visit them in Arizona. Love you Maiya and Papa!!
