I just got finished reading this awesome book to Jonathan and Ethan. We borrowed it from the library. It's called "Captain Raptor and the Space Pirates". It has dinosaurs, pirates, spaceships and adventure! We absolutely love this book. I am hoping to buy it and the other one I found in the same series.

Home of the Wild ones
Last weekend we went to Cory's parents house. While we were there we celebrated Jimmy's birthday and went to the zoo. We had a great time at the zoo.
We saw lots of crazy and wild animals. We saw crazy monkeys trying to attack a squirrel, Lemurs who needed to get a "Room", little monkeys with mustaches trying to snag Grandpa's sunglasses, a sheep who butted Adam in the butt, Polar bears scratching their butts on rocks, and a rooster with crazy bed-head!

Out Cold!
So Cory came running into the office, where I am playing computer games, and said "Hurry, you gotta see this!" I was like, Oh great what now. Ethan had fallen asleep at the foot of the stairs on the cold tile. I started taking pictures as we were giggling at the site of Ethan sprawled out on the floor. I guess Cory heard Ethan make some kind of snorty noise, he knew that Ethan had come downstairs, so went to investigate. Ethan has had a hard time staying in bed and falling asleep at a decent hour. Maybe it's too dark upstairs, or maybe he just hears Mom and Dad still up and wants to be a part of it all. Well our Bug is just too cute, I guess once I'm done with posting this, I should remind Cory to move Ethan back to his bed. Tee hee! Cory just came in holding Ethan and informed me that Ethan was laying in a giant puddle of his own drool! The whole side of his head is drenched!

My project

So yesterday I began my project. I don't remember how many hours I put into it, but it was all worth it. I'm talking about those hideous kitchen chairs! They were light colored when we first bought them and have turned grayish-black. I thought those design shows made it look easy. Well it was in away, but it was a lot of chairs and time consuming.First, I removed the cushion by unscrewing the 4 screws. Second, I cut out the fabric and vinyl (vinyl this time so they don't turn black) about 3 inches larger on all sides. Then I carefully removed some of the staples from the black cover underneath the cushion. Next I wrapped the fabric around the top and stapled underneath a little to hold it and then added the vinyl and added more staples to secure all layers. Then I put the black cover back on to give it a nice finish, using a few more staples. Finally, I positioned the seat back onto the chair and screwed the screws back on. Tuh-duh! My new and improved kitchen dining chairs!!! Six new chairs under $10 (vinyl less then $7, and fabric was free.)!

Mulgrath!
So tonight we watched The Spiderwick Chronicles movie. The kids and I had read the books a few months ago and were very excited to watch it. From the opening credits, Ethan was scared. All it had was a little music and it was kinda darker screen, yet he was already saying "uh cary" which translates to... Scary! Megan was very scared at one point, even though we had read the books. I guess the movie was a lot more intense and it did add a bunch of other stuff than the book had. Jonny was pretty cool throughout the movie, except when it came to big bad Mulgrath. He's the super bad creature in this tale. It's so funny cause they hardly make a peep when Cory showed them some pieces of Lord of the Rings, such as the Orcs!Anyway... as they had a quiet story read to them just before bed, Cory snuck into the boy's room and hid under Jonny's bed with a blanket over him. Jonny and Ethan were sent to bed, and Adam was already snuggled into his bed. I hear from the hallway, screams! Cory, the stinker, had stuck his hand out from under the bed, with the blanket covering him, and grabbed Jonny while saying in a deep growly
voice, "Muuulgrath"!!! Jonny screamed and Ethan wouldn't stop even when Cory took the blanket off of himself and showed him that it was only Daddy. Of course he tried to do a similar thing with Megan. He crawled into her room with the blanket on himself and growled "Mulgrath" and Megan said, "I know it's you Daddy!" Can't fool that girl! Well it was a fun night, let's just hope we don't have any kids with nightmares tonight!
Cory's Birthday!
So we celebrated Cory's 33rd birthday yesterday! We started by greeting him at the door, when he came home from work, and crowned him "Daddy King".
After a delicious dinner of lasagna, we gathered 'round to sing him happy birthday. The cake turned out decent, though we had no candles since we used all 33 of them last Sunday when we had a mini-celebration with his parents and brother.
After cake and ice cream, he opened the rest of his presents. Megan and Jonny had been working on theirs all week and were very excited to finally reveal them to him.
